ASV has 10 machines here, 2 on wheels and 8 on rubber tracks, priced $34,000 to $132,000. The range runs from the ASV RT-25 up to the ASV RT-135, listed biggest first by capacity measured the same way on every machine rather than as each brochure states it.
Every ASV track loader rides on the Posi-Track undercarriage: all-rubber tracks running over bogie wheels on torsion axles, so the track frame is suspended from the machine rather than bolted rigidly to it. The design is old enough that Caterpillar co-developed its first rubber-tracked Multi-Terrain Loaders with ASV around 2001 and later bought ASV undercarriages under a supply agreement that ran to November 2010. Terex agreed to buy ASV in March 2008, and in September 2019 Yanmar completed a purchase of ASV Holdings for about $70.7 million, which gave Yanmar its first North American factory: ASV's 238,000 sq ft plant in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
The Yanmar ownership shows up under the hood. ASV moved the RT-50 to a 53.8 hp Yanmar in July 2022 and released three more Yanmar-powered track loaders in 2024, the machines listed here as the RT-65-1C, VT-75-1C and VT-80-1C. RT models are radial lift and VT vertical lift, and the RS-75 and VS-75 are the wheeled skid steers ASV introduced in March 2018 and later folded into its MAX-Series, built around a 74 hp, 2.9-liter engine that needs no regeneration, exhaust sensors or DEF. The listings run from the 48-inch-wide RT-25 and RT-40 for gate-width work up to the 132 hp Cummins-powered RT-135, which is a forestry and mulching machine more than a loader.
ASV's standard warranty is 2 years or 2,000 hours, it covers the tracks on track loaders, it transfers with the machine, and it carries a no-derailment guarantee that pays travel and mileage if a track comes off. The MAX-Guard extended plans add up to 3 years or 3,000 hours, to a ceiling of 5 years or 5,000 hours. Owners describe one trade: the ride and the flotation on wet turf and soft ground are the reason to buy, and the bill arrives later as replacement tracks and the many wheels and bearings that need washing out, plus a dealer network thin enough in rural areas that parts distance becomes part of the purchase decision. All-rubber tracks also suffer on rock and demolition debris, where steel-embedded belts on Bobcat or Takeuchi machines tolerate more abuse.
