John Deere skid steers and track loaders
John Deere has 10 machines here, 5 on wheels and 5 on rubber tracks, priced $59,342 to $143,639. The range runs from the John Deere 318 P-Tier up to the John Deere 335 P-Tier, listed biggest first by capacity measured the same way on every machine rather than as each brochure states it.
On a Deere loader, the P-Tier name marks a cab change more than a spec change. Deere announced the large-frame P-Tier machines in June 2024: the 330 and 334 skid steers and the 331, 333 and 335 track loaders. The headline was a one-piece sealed and pressurized cab that tilts up as a unit for service, an LCD touchscreen and optional cameras giving 270 degrees of view. The 334 had no G-Series ancestor; it is a new 118 hp wheeled machine with pressure-compensated load-sensing hydraulics. In the smaller frames the numbers barely moved, so a 320 P-Tier is quoted at the same 69 hp and 2,190 lb rated capacity as the 320G before it, which makes a low-hour G-Series a fair alternative if the cab is not the reason you are buying.
Deere does not build its own engines for these frames. The 320 P-Tier runs a 3.3-liter Yanmar 4TNV98C, and the rest of the line uses Yanmar engines too. Production is moving: Deere said in June 2024 that it would shift mid-frame skid steer and track loader assembly from Dubuque, Iowa, to its plant in Ramos, Mexico, with the Dubuque ramp-down starting in early 2026. Large-frame loaders stay in Dubuque. Deere has offered two years or 2,000 hours, whichever comes first, on its compact track loaders and skid steers since June 2018, when it doubled the previous one-year term.
Every Deere loader here is vertical lift. Wheeled models are rated at 50 percent of tipping load and the track loaders at 35 percent, so a 334 and a 335 quoting about 4,000 lb are not carrying the same margin. Owners of the large frames value the cooling package and the 132-inch hinge pin for loading trucks; the complaints that recur are hydraulic leaks at couplers and hoses on high-hour machines, no suspended undercarriage to match Bobcat's ride, and P-Tier prices that climbed well above the G-Series they replaced. Against Kubota the trade is lift: an SVL97-3 outlifts a 331 P-Tier at a similar list. Against Cat and Bobcat the argument is factory grade control, offered on the 333 and 335.

It shares the new one-piece pressurized P-Tier cab and adds standard Attachment Manager, making it a purpose-built platform for cold planers, mulchers, and other hydraulically hungry attachments on wheels.
