Bobcat skid steers and track loaders
Bobcat has 15 machines here, 8 on wheels and 7 on rubber tracks, priced $29,512 to $120,586. The range runs from the Bobcat S70 up to the Bobcat T86-2, listed biggest first by capacity measured the same way on every machine rather than as each brochure states it.
The skid steer started in a North Dakota farm-implement shop. Melroe Manufacturing of Gwinner bought the rights to the Keller brothers' three-wheeled loader in 1958, and the Bobcat name followed. The company passed to Clark Equipment in 1969 and to Ingersoll-Rand in 1995, and Doosan Infracore of South Korea bought it in 2007. Gwinner still builds loaders, and Bobcat now sits inside the Doosan Group. The engines on the newer machines here are Doosan-built units like the D24 and D34, which is why owner talk about early fuel-system faults centers on the first model years after that switch.
On March 3, 2026, at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, Bobcat split its loaders into two named tiers, and that split is the clearest way to read this page. Classic covers the earlier-generation machines (here, the S70, S450, S590, S650, T450, T595 and T650) with conventional controls and lower prices. Pro is the new -2 generation: the S64-2, S66-2, S76-2 and S86-2 skid steers and the T64-2, T66-2, T76-2 and T86-2 track loaders, with a redesigned electrical system, an 8-inch touchscreen with a rear camera, and four drive modes. The 86-frame machines step up to 115 hp and a 12-foot lift height. Bobcat said the Pro machines would reach select North American dealers starting in summer 2026, so every -2 model is in its first season with owners.
Since January 1, 2019, every Bobcat skid steer and track loader has carried a 2-year/2,000-hour standard warranty, with extended plans (Full, Powertrain, or Powertrain + Hydraulics) running as far as 60 months and 5,000 hours. Bobcat also posts a starting price on each model page ($61,101 for the S650 when checked), so a dealer quote can be held against a public figure. The usual complaints in owner discussions are less about the frames than the electrics and fuel systems on the prior generation, and the redesigned Pro electrical system is Bobcat's answer to the first half of that; its first years in the field will show whether it works.
