The bright segment is what Yanmar TL50RP is rated to carry; the grey run past it is the rest of its tipping load. Bar length is tipping load drawn to the same scale on every machine on the site, so a short bar is a smaller machine and not a conservative rating.

Yanmar publishes no list price for this machine, and we found no dealer listing worth quoting, so there is no number here to give you. What we can say is what the machines around it cost: the middle half of the 4 track loaders within 15 per cent of its capacity list between $48,000 and $64,245. That is a fact about them, not a quote for this one.

Top of Yanmar's three small-frame Posi-Track loaders from July 2026: 53.8 hp, 1,400 lb rated capacity and 15-inch tracks at 3.0 psi. It is the first of the three wide enough and heavy enough to work like a small mid-frame while still staying under 5,500 lb at the open-ROPS weight.

Also sold as

The same machine is sold as the ASV RT-50 — different paint, different dealer network, same hardware, so the choice is usually about which dealer is closer and which one you would rather owe a service call to.

Suits: Buyers who want mid-frame capability on a small-frame footprint and the lowest ground pressure in the range Its radial lift path reaches furthest at mid-height, for digging, grading and backfilling.

What owners of the same hardware report

Nobody has written up this exact machine yet, so this is drawn from reports on the machines that share its hardware — the model it replaced, a sibling on the same platform, or the same machine sold under another badge. The prose says which in each case. It is accurate about the iron rather than about this particular model.

Ground that cannot take a machine is the problem this one is built around. At 3.0 psi it treads more lightly than anything else Yanmar builds, and it gets there honestly - 15-inch tracks, 57 inches on the ground, and the fully suspended ASV Posi-Track torsion-axle undercarriage carrying 12 polyethylene and rubber wheels per track on sealed bearings. Yanmar pitches the small-frame Posi-Track machines at contractors who need "exceptional flotation, low ground pressure and dependable traction in applications where ground conditions matter", and on this one the specification supports the claim.

It punches above its 1,400 lb rating, largely because of 2,920 lb of bucket breakout force - it digs rather than just carries. The 53.8 hp three-cylinder sits comfortably below the horsepower band that brings DEF and heavy aftertreatment, which is one of the quiet advantages of staying small. Where it is honestly limited is hydraulics: 13.3 gpm at 3,000 psi, the same standard flow as the far smaller TL40RP, with no high-flow option offered on any small-frame model. Attachments that need volume are simply not on the menu. Controls are pilot-operated hydraulic joysticks with a 4.3-inch display rather than the electronic joysticks and 7-inch screen of the mid-frames - robust and simple, but less configurable. Cab choices are good for the class, from open ROPS through cold-weather to a full all-weather cab, and turf tracks are available.

Lawns, pavers, septic fields and spring ground - surfaces that must survive the visit - are what put it in front of a landscaper, property maintenance contractor, snow operator or rental fleet. It is not a substitute for a mid-frame machine: the capacity, speed and hydraulics all say so. Before signing, confirm which cab and track configuration the quote covers, get the unpublished bucket pin height measured if truck loading matters, and remember that the ASV RT-50 is sold into the same market, so it is worth seeing what the nearer dealer will do.

What owners like

  • 3.0 psi is the lowest ground pressure Yanmar publishes for any of its track loaders, and 15-inch tracks with 57 inches on the ground are what buy it on a 5,205 lb machine.
  • 2,920 lb of bucket breakout force against a 1,400 lb rated capacity gives it genuine digging authority rather than making it a carrier that happens to have a bucket.
  • 53.8 hp from the 3TNV86CHT with 103 ft-lb of peak torque keeps it well below the emissions threshold that brings DEF and heavier aftertreatment on the large-frame machines.
  • The fully suspended ASV Posi-Track undercarriage - two independent torsion axles per side with 12 polyethylene and rubber wheels per track - gives it a ride no rigid-frame loader this size can match.
  • Cab choice runs all the way from open ROPS through a cold-weather cab to a full all-weather cab, and turf tracks are on the options list, which is the right catalogue for a machine sold into landscaping and snow work.

What owners complain about

  • 13.3 gpm at 3,000 psi is the same standard auxiliary flow as the much smaller TL40RP, so hydraulic capability does not scale with the engine - you gain horsepower and lift over the TL40RP, not attachment capability.
  • No high-flow package is offered on any of the three small-frame machines, so mulching heads and cold planers are genuinely out of scope rather than merely marginal.
  • There is no two-speed travel, and top speed is 7.1 mph, which is well down on the 9.1 mph the mid-frame Posi-Track machines manage.
  • Controls are pilot-operated hydraulic joysticks with a 4.3-inch display, rather than the electronic ISO/H-pattern joysticks and 7-inch display of the mid-frame machines - simpler and more robust, but a step down in configurability.
  • Yanmar publishes no bucket pin height for it, as with every Posi-Track model, so truck-loading reach cannot be compared on paper.
  • It launched in July 2026 with no published price and no resale trail, and the closely related ASV RT-50 is sold alongside it, so a dealer quote is the only number available and there is nothing to benchmark it against.

What buyers ask

Can the TL50RP run a mulching head or a cold planer?
No. Standard auxiliary flow is 13.3 gpm at 3,000 psi and no high-flow option is offered on any of Yanmar's three small-frame machines. Augers, brooms, grapples, light trenchers and snow attachments are what this flow rate supports. Mulchers and planers need the mid-frame TL65 upward, and realistically the 34.3 gpm TL80 machines.
How does it compare with the TL40RP?
More engine, more lift, bigger tracks: 53.8 hp against 38.2, 1,400 lb rated capacity against 930, and 15-inch tracks against 11-inch. Hydraulic flow is identical at 13.3 gpm, so what you are buying is digging and lifting capability rather than attachment capability. The TL50RP is also heavier at 5,205 lb against 4,030 lb.
Is 3.0 psi really as low as it sounds?
It is the lowest figure Yanmar publishes across its entire track loader range, including machines a fraction of the weight. The mechanism is the all-rubber Posi-Track belt, which lays down as many as four times the ground contact points of a steel-embedded track. In practice that means working across lawns, septic fields and saturated spring ground with markedly less repair work behind you.
Does it have two-speed travel?
No. Top speed is 7.1 mph with no two-speed option, which is noticeably down on the 9.1 mph the mid-frame Posi-Track machines reach. On a small machine working confined sites that is rarely the constraint, but if you regularly drive across large properties it is worth weighing against a mid-frame.
What cab and track options are available?
Cab configurations run from open ROPS through a cold-weather cab to a full all-weather cab, and the options list includes a hydraulic quick attach, rearview camera and turf tracks. Turf tracks are worth asking about specifically if lawn work is your main application, since they reduce marking further than the standard belts.
Is it the same machine as the ASV RT-50?
It is the Yanmar version of closely related hardware - Yanmar owns ASV and the Posi-Track undercarriage is ASV's patented design. Specifications between the two badges are not always identical, so compare the actual spec sheets rather than assuming, and then buy from whichever dealer is nearer, because undercarriage parts are what you will be reordering.

It runs a steel-embedded rubber track, which is what separates it from the TL65RP that now sits beside it on Yanmar's Posi-Track undercarriage at slightly lower rated capacity.
