The bright segment is what Yanmar TL65RP is rated to carry; the grey run past it is the rest of its tipping load. Bar length is tipping load drawn to the same scale on every machine on the site, so a short bar is a smaller machine and not a conservative rating.

One caveat on this machine: we could not find a published tipping load for it, so the figure above is its advertised capacity divided by the fraction its maker rates at. That makes the grey run arithmetic rather than a measurement, and it is the number worth asking a dealer to confirm.

Yanmar publishes no list price for this machine, and we found no dealer listing worth quoting, so there is no number here to give you. What we can say is what the machines around it cost: the middle half of the 20 track loaders within 15 per cent of its capacity list between $61,000 and $70,000. That is a fact about them, not a quote for this one.

Radial-lift mid-frame on the ASV Posi-Track undercarriage, announced August 2026 alongside five other RP and VP machines. It sits directly beside the steel-embedded TL65RS-1C at slightly lower rated capacity - 2,000 lb against 2,100 - and trades that for 9.1 mph travel and 4.2 psi ground pressure.

Also sold as

The same machine is sold as the ASV RT-65-1C — different paint, different dealer network, same hardware, so the choice is usually about which dealer is closer and which one you would rather owe a service call to.

Suits: Landscape and site crews who want radial digging manners with flotation and speed rather than maximum rated capacity Its radial lift path reaches furthest at mid-height, for digging, grading and backfilling.

What owners of the same hardware report

Nobody has written up this exact machine yet, so this is drawn from reports on the machines that share its hardware — the model it replaced, a sibling on the same platform, or the same machine sold under another badge. The prose says which in each case. It is accurate about the iron rather than about this particular model.

Small-frame track loaders usually compete on how much they lift per dollar, and this one deliberately does not. What it sells is ground pressure - 4.2 psi from a 7,405 lb machine - and a suspended undercarriage that lets an operator actually use 9.1 mph across ground where a steel-track machine of the same size has to slow down. Yanmar's own framing is that the Posi-Track machines are "engineered for exceptional traction and performance on soft, wet, slippery, rough, or hilly terrain" while the steel-embedded models are "designed for durability and performance in construction and hard-surface environments".

Underneath are two independent torsion axles per undercarriage carrying 12 ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and rubber wheels per track on sealed bearings, with 15-inch all-rubber belts laying down as many as four times the ground contact points of a steel-embedded track. That is the mechanism behind the flotation and behind the 1,500 to 2,000 hours of track life this design is quoted at, against roughly 1,000 for steel-embedded. The operator station is better equipped than the steel-track sibling's: ISO or H-pattern electronic joysticks, a 7-inch display, rearview camera, LED lighting, two-speed and telematics all standard. The costs are the ones owners of ASV's equivalent hardware have documented for years - more wheels and bearings to wear out, a pricier track set, and dealer-list undercarriage parts steep enough that experienced owners buy aftermarket. Keeping the open rails washed out is the maintenance strategy, not a nicety.

Wet ground, finished turf, septic and spring work - where rutting is the expensive mistake - is the landscaper's, utility contractor's and acreage owner's case for it. It is the wrong tool for rock, concrete and demolition, where the TL65RS-1C keeps its tracks longer for less money. Before signing, get the unpublished bucket pin height measured and written into the quote, decide whether you need the 26.7 gpm option, and price the identical ASV RT-65-1C from whichever dealer is closer - proximity to a parts counter is the ownership cost that never appears on an invoice.

What owners like

  • 4.2 psi against the TL65RS-1C's 5.7 is the reason this undercarriage exists - 15-inch tracks with 59 inches on the ground give 1,770 square inches of contact on a 7,405 lb machine.
  • 9.1 mph against the steel-embedded machine's 7.5 mph is time back on any site big enough to drive across, and it comes from two independent torsion axles per undercarriage with 12 ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and rubber wheels per track on sealed bearings.
  • At 7,405 lb it is 1,170 lb lighter than the TL65RS-1C, which is a genuine difference in what tows it and what it does to a customer's driveway.
  • Electronic joystick controls switchable between ISO and H patterns, a 7-inch display, rearview camera, LED lighting, two-speed travel and SmartAssist telematics are all standard - several of those are paid options on the steel-embedded machine in the same showroom.
  • 21.4 gpm standard at 3,481 psi with a 26.7 gpm high-flow option at 3,771 psi matches the steel-track machine's hydraulics exactly, so the flotation costs nothing in attachment capability.
  • Posi-Track models carry a no-derailment guarantee alongside the two-year/2,000-hour cover, which speaks directly to the failure mode buyers of rubber-track machines worry about.

What owners complain about

  • Rated capacity is LOWER than the TL65RS-1C it sits beside - 2,000 lb against 2,100 - so this is not a straight upgrade and should not be sold as one. The undercarriage buys flotation and speed.
  • Yanmar publishes no bucket pin height for the Posi-Track models, so the figure that decides whether it loads your trailer or your truck is simply absent from the spec sheet.
  • Radial lift still limits reach at the top of the arc whatever the undercarriage does underneath, so tall truck loading remains a compromise.
  • All-rubber tracks are the flotation and the limit: rock, rebar and demolition debris cut them faster than they cut the steel-embedded belts on the RS, and the running cost is higher - comparable ASV sets are roughly $4,000 to $6,000 against $3,500 to $5,500, over an undercarriage with far more wheels, bearings and seals to wear.
  • An August 2026 launch means no published price, no used market and no owner history of its own; it duplicates the ASV RT-65-1C, so the badge is most of what separates two quotes.

What buyers ask

Why does the TL65RP lift less than the TL65RS-1C?
2,000 lb against 2,100 lb, on effectively the same engine. The Posi-Track undercarriage is not a capacity upgrade and should not be quoted as one - what it delivers is 4.2 psi instead of 5.7, 9.1 mph instead of 7.5, and 1,170 lb less machine. If you routinely work near the rated limit, the steel-embedded RS is the correct choice.
Is it the same machine as the ASV RT-65-1C?
Yes, and Yanmar owns ASV, so both badges come from the same company. Quote both dealers and buy from whichever is nearer a parts counter, because on this undercarriage the bogie wheels, bearings and seals are components you will genuinely be ordering over the machine's life.
What equipment comes standard?
Electronic joysticks switchable between ISO and H patterns, a 7-inch multifunction colour display, rearview camera, LED lighting front and rear, two-speed travel, roof panel, rear window, backup alarm and SmartAssist Remote telematics. Optional are the all-weather cab with heat and A/C, high-flow hydraulics, air-ride seat, polycarbonate door, Bluetooth radio, 14-pin attachment control and ride control. Notably telematics and the camera are options on the steel-embedded TL65RS-1C, so the Posi-Track machine is the better-equipped base build.
How long do the tracks last and what do they cost?
All-rubber Posi-Track belts are quoted at roughly 1,500 to 2,000 hours against about 1,000 hours typical for steel-embedded tracks, and comparable ASV sets run in the region of $4,000 to $6,000 versus $3,500 to $5,500 for a rival's. Abrasive material pulls that down hard - rock, concrete and demolition debris are what cut them - while dirt, turf and light forestry sit at the top of the range.
Does radial lift limit what I can do with it?
Mainly at height. A radial arm follows an arc, so reach falls away near the top and loading a tall dump truck is a compromise compared with a vertical-lift machine. For digging, grading, backfilling and general dirt work - which is most of what a machine this size does - the radial path is perfectly suited and arguably better.
